BEAUMONT - The current US Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas has announced his retirement.
U.S. Attorney Malcolm Bales announced that he will retire at the end of the month according to public information officer Davilyn Walston
Bales, who has served as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District since May 2009, announced his retirement on September 5.
He will be replaced by First Assistant U.S. Attorney Brit Featherston.
