An unidentified white female was discovered at Collier's Ferry Park Saturday afternoon

BEAUMONT - The cause of a 54-year-old woman’s death in Beaumont remains a mystery, but investigators hope an autopsy Monday will shed some light on how she died.

Catherine Jane Dungan was found dead around 6:20 p.m. Saturday at Collier’s Ferry Park. A police spokesperson Monday morning told 12News investigators still have not determined a cause of death.

Police hope someone who was at the park between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday may have seen or heard something that could help investigators.  Anyone with information about her death is asked to call the Beaumont Police Department at 409-832-1234.

Dungan has two addresses listed in Beaumont, both are connected to organizations that help the homeless.
