ORANGE - A spokesperson for the Orange Police Department said detectives have not yet determined of two robberies that happened within hours of each other are connected.
The latest robbery happened at the Chevron station at 2323 Lutcher Drive (feeder road of I-10.) This is at the intersection with 23rd Street.
According to a police report obtained by 12News, the clerk and a child were the only people in the store at the time of the robbery.
Orange Police Captain Charlie Stephenson said the clerk said man ran into the store around 10 a.m. He was wearing a bandana covering his face. He pointed a gun at the clerk and told him to hand over the money. The robber fled.
The robbery of the Chevron station happened around 11 hours after the Dollar General Store on North Highway 87 was robbed.
