Motorcycle rider hits passing car, firefighter witnessed accident

An off-duty volunteer firefighter gave a man first aid after she watched him collide with a car as he drove his custom motorcycle onto the highway Monday afternoon.

The accident around 1 p.m. Monday on Highway 105 (Orangefield Road) near Cow Bayou.  A witness told 12News the man on the custom bike pulled out of a driveway into the path of a car.  The woman driving the car tried to miss the motorcycle, but could not avoid the collision.  An off duty firefighter was driving behind the woman’s car.  The firefighter gave the man first aid and called 9-1-1.

The man who was on motorcycle was taken to the hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.
