SUV rolls multiple times in Hardin County single car crash

HARDIN COUNTY - A single vehicle rollover crash near Sour Lake sent seriously injured a Plano man Thursday morning.

At about 8:15 a.m. the Texas Department of Public Safety was notified of a one vehicle rollover crash on Highway 105 near the Little Hawks Daycare about two miles east of Sour Lake according a release from the DPS.

A Chevy Tahoe driven by an 80 year-old man from Plano was heading westbound on 105 when the vehicle drifted off the right side of roadway and into a ditch the release said.

The Tahoe then stuck a concrete culvert, went airborne and rolled several times according to the release.

Troopers believe the driver, who was transported by helicopter to UTMB Galveston, may have fallen asleep at the wheel.

The accident caused some traffic delays along Highway 105 but all lanes are now clear.
