Kerrville girl shot in head remains in critical condition

KERRVILLE – A 7-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot in the head Saturday night.

Around 9:30 Saturday night, Kerrville Police responded to a shooting that had occurred at West Schreiner Street and Paschal Street. En route to the scene, an officer was flagged down by the victim’s father.

According to police, the man stated his 7-year-old daughter had been shot.

He told police he had been arguing with another man at the intersection of West Schreiner and Paschal when unknown suspects fired several rounds towards the victim’s car.

When the victim’s father realized she was bleeding her drove towards KPD.

The young girl was struck in the head and flown to University Trauma Center. She is currently in critical condition, according to police.

The suspects are still at large and the incident is under investigation.
