Second woman arrested, charged in two Beaumont convenience store robberies

BEAUMONT - Beaumont police have arrested a second woman who they say participated in two convenience store robberies along with another woman last Tuesday.

Beaumont Police arrested Shemeca La'Shawn Pugh, 37, of Beaumont Wednesday morning and charged her with two counts of aggravated robbery according to a release from the Beaumont Police Department.

Pugh was transported from the Beaumont Police Department detectives division to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility according to the release.

Police say that Pugh was involved along with Teual Lashawn Harper, 46, in two robberies early Tuesday morning, October 11, 2016, at the Express Mart at 5710 Hwy 105 and the Exxon convenience store just across the Eastex Freeway at 7110 Eastex.

Police are also looking into the possibility that the two women may have robbed another convenience store on Monday, October 10, 2016 and that Pugh may have recorded that robbery on cell phone video.
