Second Port Arthur game room shooting within a week

A 911 caller reported a robbery at the Lucky Zone game room in the 4500 block of Gulfway around 11:50 p.m. Sunday. This is near the intersection with Trinity.

PORT ARTHUR - Drivers along Gulfway Drive in Port Arthur saw a heavy police presence at Port Arthur game room just before midnight. A 911 caller reported a robbery at the Lucky Zone game room in the 4500 block of Gulfway around 11:50 p.m. Sunday.  This is near the intersection with Trinity.

Crime tape surrounded the building as police walked in and out carrying clip boards and collecting information when 12News arrived.

Police Spokesperson Risa Carpenter told 12News that one person was shot during the robbery.  That person was taken to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas St. Elizabeth with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been reported by police as of 6:45 a.m. Monday.

This is the second game-room shooting in Port Arthur within less than a week.  On Wednesday night a clerk at a game room located at 3741 25th Street was shot as she closed the business for the day.  No arrests have been made in that shooting.
