Children who disappeared in Vidor found safe

Missing Vidor children found on train in Houston

ORANGE COUNTY - Orange County emergency crews and citizens are happy to hear that two children who went missing from Vidor Saturday have been found safe.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office believes Matthew Solley, 11, and Serina Solley, 9, ran away from home.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office says the children were found on a train in Houston by the Houston Police Department.

The details as to where the train was or how the children had been found are still being gathered.

Matthew and Serina were taken to a hospital to be checked out as a precaution.

Investigators say they will continue to look into the events surrounding the pair leaving their home and how they ended up on a train in Houston.  

A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office says the children's father and his fiance discovered the children missing around 11 Saturday morning.

Search teams spent hours scouring the area near Ricky Lane as well as North Tram.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office even used a helicopter with night vision to help in the search.As more information is released updates will be posted.

The Sheriff's Office thanked everyone for their prayers and assistance in spreading the word and searching for the children.
