A spokesperson for the Orange Police Department said Saturday that a pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a train.
A police department news release says the man was found lying on the tracks at the Cherry Ave. crossing shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday.
The name of the man has not been released, but the police spokesperson did say the injured man is a 32-year-old resident of Orange. The spokesperson said the man was taken to CHRISTUS Southeast Texas -St. Elizabeth by Acadian Ambulance.
Police do not know the man’s condition as of 6 a.m. Saturday.
