PAPD officer stuck by vehicle while directing traffic for a funeral procession

PORT ARTHUR - An officer with the Port Arthur Police Department has confirmed to 12News that a motorcycle officer who was directing traffic for a funeral procession was struck by a vehicle early Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened at the intersection of FM 365 and 9th Avenue.
A 12News reporter at the accident scene asked an officer if the motorcycle officer was injured.  The policeman said all information has to come from the Department of Public Safety.  12News is awaiting an update from the DPS spokesperson.
