BEAUMONT - The Ozen High School marching band giving their all to 84-year-old Erma Zachary on Wednesday.
They marched two blocks from school all the way to her Beaumont home to surprise her with the sound of music.
"I would sit with her sometimes while they practiced and she would dance. So I got this idea, well if she can't go to the band then I can get the band to her." Said neighbor, Hilton Johnson Jr.
The mother and grandmother has been a fan of the band for more than two decades. Zachary used to watch them practice every day on the field but that all stopped several years ago when she got diagnosed with Dementia and Alzheimer's.
"She tried to go to a game the year before last but unfortunately it rained that day because she was there and we had to get her back inside." Said her son.
But on Wednesday, the drums, trumpets, and flutes made their way back to her. "Its so beautiful! I couldn't believe that was them!" Erma Zachary said.
After the performance, each band member shook her hand and thanked Zachary for all her years of appreciation.
