Orange PD, SWAT arrest four people on drugs and weapons charges

ORANGE - The Orange Police Department executed search warrants at 635 and 641 Bridal Wreath Avenue at 11:08p.m. Tuesday evening.

The warrants were in response to drug and violent activities that had been present in the area. The search warrants were executed by Orange County SWAT, Orange PD patrol and Detective Divisions and West Orange PD.

Two people were arrested from the two homes. Jamie Duplechaine was arrested for possession of controlled substance and a JP #4 traffic warrant.  Jason Cates was arrested for one JP #1 traffic warrant.  Drugs and weapons were located during the search warrants.

Minutes before the two search warrants were executed, Orange PD. And Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms, and Explosives agents as well as Orange SO officers conducted a traffic stop in the 5600 block of I-10 service road. 27-year-old Chase Von Wendt and 30-year-old Steven Milton Ringer were arrested. Both men were residents at the homes on Bridal Wreath.

Wendt was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of synthetic marijuana, and three Orange Municipal court traffic warrants.

Ringer was charged with possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), credit/debit card abuse warrant, two Pinehurst traffic warrants and two Orange Municipal traffic warrants.  During the traffic stop drugs and a weapon were recovered.
