One person sustained serious injuries after two car crash, involving an 18-wheeler

The Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of a two-vehicle crash at approximately 10:50 p.m on Interstate 10 near the Goodyear plant.

Initial reports indicated that a Freighliner truck tractor sem-trailer was traveling westbound on I-10. The driver began to slow down for stopped traffic when the trailer was rear-ended by a Toyota pickup truck.

The driver of the Toyota, 37-year-old William Greenlee of Mississippi was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, 40-year-old Sylvester Willingham of Alabama was not injured in the crash.

This is an ongoing crash investigation.
