One man arrested, one shot in face after game of Russian roulette with stolen gun in Lake Charles

LAKE CHARLES - A Lake Charles man was shot in the face and another was arrested Tuesday night after they were playing Russian Roulette with a stolen gun according to police.

From the Lake Charles Police Department...

On May 30, 2017 at approximately 11:18 p.m., the Lake Charles Police Department responded to the area of Prater and Knapp Streets in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival Officers located a male victim with a gunshot wound to his right cheek area. 

Also at the scene, Officers located the subject responsible for the shooting.  

The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.

Investigation revealed that the victim and an associate were playing Russian roulette with a handgun when the victim was shot in the face. 

The subject responsible for the shooting was identified as Romain Boutte. 

The weapon used by Boutte in the shooting was reported stolen.

A warrant has been submitted to Judge David Ritchie; bond is pending.
