Funeral plans announced for Newton toddler killed in hit-and-run

NEWTON - Funeral plans have been finalized for a Newton toddler killed in hit-and-run Saturday night. 

Carson Rawls, 2 walked away from a home in the 3400 block of Highway 190 where he was hit at about 7:30 p.m.

Jessica Daniel Frazier, 35, of Holly Springs, is accused of driving the vehicle that hit the toddler and leaving the scene.

She remains in jail Tuesday night on a $100,000 bond. 

The parents of the baby are Theresa Jacobson and Cord Rawls. The funeral is set for 10:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Call Junction Baptist Church with burial at Call Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the church.
