Liberty County man photographed with baby on motorcycle now charged with child endangerment

LIBERTY COUNTY - A Liberty County man photographed with his infant son on a motorcycle has now been charged with child endangerment and deputies are now searching for him.

From the Liberty County Sheriff's Office...

Liberty County Sheriff’s Investigators have now obtained two eye-witness written statements that confirms Anthony Braddick Welch was seen with his infant son riding on the gas tank area of Welch’s motorcycle while on a public highway in the area of Tarkington Prairie in mid-Liberty County.

As a result of witness written statements , Cpl. James Hobson obtained a warrant of arrest for Welch from Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Judge Stephen Hebert for the offense of Abandoning or Endangering a Child which is a State Jail Felony offense.

Deputies have made numerous day and night runs on his reported address in an effort to arrest Welch but thus far no arrest has been made.

Anthony Braddick Welch is described as a white male, DOB 12/12/86, 6’-2”, 230 lbs. with brown hair.

He may be driving an unknown year black Mustang automobile or a blue pick-up truck with a welding machine in the back.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for anyone who may know the whereabouts of Anthony Welch to call the Sheriff’s Office at (936) 336-4500 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-7867 and provide that information.

All callers to Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous and a cash reward can be given for your information.
