BEAUMONT - Dr. Debbie Oge had no idea what was in store for her at Guess Elementary School.
Except she was told that she had to make a special announcement.
After reviewing her gifts she stepped into the hall, where the whole school was waiting for her.
Fifth grader Paris Young believes Dr. Oge truly cares about what she does.
"I know she is a nice person, very generous person. She's a giving person and she does a lot for everybody over here and she loves us," Young said.
It was the end of a week where Dr. Oge was showered with gifts including a new picture frame, a staff dance video, and a lunch from Jason's Deli.
But the parade that was organized by students, staff and teachers, was the greatest surprise of all.
"I'm overwhelmed. I'm just so blessed I have said all along I work with the dream team of teachers and faculty and staff, and this absolutely proves it," Dr. Oge said.
Young knows that Dr. Oge has left a lasting impression on her.
"But I love her, she's very nice and I wish she could stay in my life the whole time," Young said.
