Firefighters working to rescue driver of car that drove off pier on Pleasure Island

PORT ARTHUR - Port Arthur firefighters are working to rescue the driver of a car the drove off a pier on Pleasure Island Friday morning according to a spokesperson for the City of Port Arthur.

The driver has been rescued and medics are performing lifesaving measures before the victim is transported by helicopter.

A witness told 12News that the fire department launched  a boat into Sabine Lake to rescue the driver.
