Family and police search for missing Groves man

The family of a Groves man says he's been missing since Friday.

The family of a Groves man is working with Groves police to find a man missing since last week.

Deena Stanley said her boyfriend, 45-year-old John Sikes, was last seen Friday afternoon in Beaumont.

"Devastating, I don't know where he's at I don't know if he's alive," Stanley said. "I don't know if he's ok. I just want him to come home."

She said he was last seen wearing a green neon shirt, blue jean shorts, orange tennis shoes and a pink backpack.

Stanley said Sikes was riding a blue bicycle from Groves to Kountze when he disappeared.

A family friend said it is uncharacteristic of the father of three to disappear this long without contacting someone.

Stanley said he is diagnosed with several medical conditions but did not take his medications with him when he left their apartment on Friday.

"If there's anyone out there whose seen anything or knows anything, even if he doesn't want to be here, just let me know he's ok," Stanley said.

Police said they don’t have enough information to determine if his disappearance is criminal or something else.

Sikes is listed at 6'1, 220 lbs. He has brown hair and eyes.
