HOUSTON - Thousands and thousands of people made their way to Downtown Houston to celebrate the Astros World Series victory, and amongst the flood of bright orange, a Beaumont family cheers on the team.

Several months ago, the entire area in downtown was flooded with water as Hurricane Harvey took on the Texas Gulf coast.

On Friday afternoon, the same area was flooded with over half a million Houston Astros fans.

It was the colors of orange, white and navy blue, lined up along Milam Street, and in the crowd, Randall and Susan Swearingen of Beaumont.

"As we drove around Beaumont all week, we saw a bunch of Astros fans," says Randall.

"They are our hometown team," he explains.

While everyone screams for Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, George Springer and the entire Astros crew aboard fire trucks, the Swearingen family says it's a victory celebration of a lifetime.

"I've been watching all these guys for so many years," says Randall.

"We've been through so many heartaches, but this win makes everything go worthwhile," he says.

There's an outpour of excitement for both Susan and Randall as the witness history being made.

"I can't imagine anything better for the city right now after this Astros win," Randall says.

This excitement will continue for the family as they make their way back to the city of Beaumont.
