Autopsy ordered on victim of fatal auto-pedestrian crash in Orange County

ORANGE - An autopsy has been ordered by Orange County Justice of the Peace, Judge Derry Dunn, after a man was killed in an auto-pedestrian crash Sunday night.

Police in Orange were called to the 2000 block of the Interstate 10 North Service Road for the incident, shortly after 10:00 p.m..

Emergency crews on the scene tried to resuscitate the 44 year old man from Ohio, but were unsuccessful. The man was hit by a vehicle, which was still at the scene, and pronounced dead by Judge Dunn.

The victim's body was taken to the Jefferson County Morgue for the autopsy. The man's name has not been released until next of kin is notified.

An investigation into the fatal crash is ongoing.
