Accident at Nome fabrication shop sends man to hospital with burns

NOME - A burn victim is being transported by helicopter after an accident at a fabrication shop in Nome Monday morning.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office confirms that one person was burned at BCI Fabrication in Nome.

A 27 year-old man is being transported to UTMB Galveston with second degree burns following a flash fire at the fabrication shop according to Jefferson County Sheriff's Office spokesman Marcus McLellan.

The man is in stable condition according to McLellan.
