Last-Minute tax filers have until midnight

If you're nervously watching the clock tick away the final hours of tax day, you're not alone.

According to the IRS about 30-percent of taxpayers wait until the final two weeks to file.

And if you need more time to file your taxes most taxpayers can get a six-month extension if they ask for one, it will push that deadline out to October 15th.

If you think you owe money you'll need to figure out an estimate and send that payment with your extension or you'll risk interest, late fees or penalties.

If you owe the IRS there are payment plans available to you.

After the post office closes for the evening you will have to e-file to make the midnight deadline.

If you need an extension it can be is as simple as filling out a 4868 form.
