Jasper County Sheriff's Office helps locate missing students

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office says a group of students reported missing in the woods has been located.

The sheriff's office was called today to assist in the search for 18 students from Stephen F. Austin College who were reported missing in the national forest.

Deputies began searching the north end of the county off of Texas 63 and found the students just before 1 p.m.

Sheriff Mitchell Newman says all of the students were accounted for and have been given water in case of dehydration.
