Jasper County drug bust nets 20 guns

A spokesperson for The Jasper County Sheriff's Office told 12News that a man and woman were arrested Friday morning during a drug bust in which 20 guns were seized.

It happened near Buna on CR 786. Deputies say a half pound of meth and ecstasy along with the guns were seized. They say some of the guns are believed to have been stolen.

Captain Bob Walker tells 12news their department had been undercover watching them for over a year. He says 2 children, including an infant, were also in the home at the time of the arrests. 

He says the woman faces 2 charges of delivery of a controlled substance and 1 charge of possession of meth. The man also faces a charge of possession of meth. 

Deputies say the street value of the drugs are worth about $35,000.

Other charges are pending. Walker says they also found flat screen TVs and tanning beds on the premise which they believe might have been stolen.

They have not yet released the names of the people arrested.
