IT director who raised questions about Zimmerman case is fired

By CNN Staff

The Florida state attorney has fired the information technology director who had raised questions about the handling of information in the trial of George Zimmerman, his lawyer told CNN Saturday.

Wesley White said Ben Kruidbos, his client, received the termination letter on Friday from State Attorney Angela Corey.

Kruidbos said last year that he became concerned that some information from Martin's phone had not been turned over to the defense, and he became concerned about possible "criminal exposure." So he sought advice from White.

Kruidbos said there were 2,958 photos in the original report. But Kruidbos' report had contained 4,275 photos.

On June 6, Kruidbos testified in a pre-trial hearing that he has been told to not put specific case-identifying information into internal e-mails.
