I-10 reopens following truck fire

Interstate 10 eastbound near mile marker 875 has reopened after a late night tractor-trailer fire.

Crews on scene told our 12 news camera crew that a truck driver noticed a wheel on fire. When the driver attempted to put the fire out, the fire spread to barrels and the cab of the truck.

The barrels contained some type of grease.

I-10 was shut down for at least three hours overnight. All lanes of the highway have re-opened.
