A Facebook post in Hardin County went viral on Valentine's Day after a Sheriff's deputy and some citizens made a sweet gesture to a Silsbee couple who has been married for 59 years.
After the pictured man drove to a store to buy his wife a small box of chocolates to celebrate Valentine's day, the store owner called the Hardin County Sheriff's Office worried about the elderly man being able to drive home. Deputy Donnie Wayne Gulley arrived to the Dollar General store on HWY 418 to check on the 79-year old man who ended up not only getting a ride home, but a bunch of gifts for himself and his wife of 59 years to celebrate the rest of their day.
