A gas explosion destroyed three homes and injured at least two people Thursday in central Kentucky, CNN affiliate WHAS reported.
The incident occurred in Knifley, an unincorporated community about two hours from Louisville.
The explosion blew out a crater and destroyed barns and cars, emergency management spokesman Greg Thomas told the affiliate.
One of the injured was taken to a local hospital.
The gas flame continued burning after the explosion.
