BEAUMONT - Fantasy Football is a hobby for millions of people worldwide. With the NFL season fast approaching some managers chose Labor Day to draft their rosters.

Scott Boyd has been playing Fantasy Football for 23 years, and with most leagues being online, his favorite part is still meeting in person.

“There are at least 10 guys we have stories about getting themselves in trouble with their wives and their families, post draft, pre-draft, and during the draft,” said Boyd. “There are some pretty good stories that I won’t go into detail (about), but there is some really good stories.”

However, with one of the members of their league currently in Saudi Arabia, the technology comes in handy. So the league chose to use the holiday to their advantage.

“We can draft. We can do everything. He’s making picks over there at 3 in the morning,” said Jason Farmer, a member of the league for over 15 years. “That kind of stuff so it works out pretty good.”

But the friendliness stops there.

“This is almost exclusively to talk mess to your competitors,” said Boyd.

And as Farmer explains, you don’t want to come in last.

“The old toilet bowl is what we call it or used to call it,” said Farmer. “That’s when the two teams (with the most loses) play each other, and if you win that game, the loser is the toilet bowl champion.
