Man receives life sentence after being found guilty in 2013 capital murder of Beaumont woman

BEAUMONT - A Jefferson County jury found a defendant guilty Friday morning in a 2013 murder at a Beaumont motel.

Cameron Frank, 23, was found guilty in the capital murder in the death of Kendra Crump. 27.

Because the prosecution agreed pre-trial not to seek the death-penalty Frank automatically received a sentence of life in prison with no chance for parole.

Jurors deliberated Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

Jurors received the case after three days of testimony including testimony from Frank, who took the stand Thursday and denied responsibility for the fatal shooting of Crump at the Knights Inn off of Interstate 10 in Beaumont.
