Jefferson County deputies find meth, snag six while serving narcotics warrant in Nederland

NEDERLAND - Deputies arrested six people on drug charges Wednesday while serving a narcotics warrant in Nederland.

From the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office...

Yesterday, 09-27-2017 at 7:20 p.m., Jefferson County Narcotics Officers served a Narcotics Search Warrant at 316 S 4th. St. Nederland, Texas. 

This address has been a continued nuisance to the community and on two recent occasions, narcotics arrests have been made from that house.

Jefferson County SWAT conducted a takedown of two vehicles in the driveway as other team members entered into the residence. 

SWAT members caught Dillon Champagne as he was trying to flush Meth down the toilet.  The following 6 people were arrested from the home:

Shawn Manning – Age 47 of Nederland - Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana

Dillon Champagne – Age 23 of Nederland – Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Physical Evidence

Cullen Cannon – Age 33 of Port Neches – Possession of a Controlled Substance

Taylor Crochet – Age 23 of Port Neches – Possession of a Controlled Substance

Melissa Byrom aka Mallett – 36 of Groves - Possession of Marijuana

Kayla Viator – Age 32 of Nederland – Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia

Citizens of Nederland played a great part in assisting with this investigation by reporting the continuous drug activity being conducted in their community. 

The Narcotics Division appreciates and encourages the community to continue with assisting our efforts to stop drug dealing in their neighborhoods.
