Jasper woman, former Louisiana truck stop manager charged with stealing nearly $50K from employer

JEFF DAVIS PARISH - A Jasper woman has been arrested on a charge of stealing nearly $50,000 dollars from her former Louisiana employer.

Tanya Pyles, 34, was arrested in Jasper on a warrant for felony theft and is now being held in the Jefferson Davis Parish jail in Jennings, La., according to a release from the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office.

Pyles, who was formerly the manager at Peto's Truck Stop in Roanoke, La., admitted to sheriff's office investigators that she stole more than $46,000 from the restaruant and store at the truck stop over a period of time beginning in 2016.

Pyles is currently being held without bail.
