Family makes emotional plea at press conference for the murder of pregnant mother

Police are no longer calling this incident an aggravated robbery and are investigating it as a capital murder case.

BEAUMONT - Andrew Teel was in tears on Tuesday and pleading for answers on who killed his 19-year-old pregnant wife, Kera Teel.

“I want them to know what they took from me. They took my unborn daughter, my wife, the mother of my 1-year-old child.” Said Teel.

The victim’s sister-in-law also took the podium during the press conference at Beaumont Police Department saying Kera was like a sister to her.

“She was the sister that I was lucky enough to have. For the last two years, her last name was Teel because she was the love of Andrew’s life.” Said Candice Blythe

The couple had just finished celebrating the birthday of their 1-year-old daughter, Alaya this past weekend.

That’s where Teel said the two made a time capsule for their daughter and described that moment as the last memory they will have together as mother and father.

“My wife died in my arms and I don’t know if any of you have ever experienced something like that but I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.” Said Teel.

Beaumont Police is offering up to 2,000 dollars for anyone who has information that can lead to an arrest.
