Bond set at $1M for Kirbyville man who attempted to shoot at police during standoff

KIRBYVILLE - Bond has been set for a Kirbyville man who has been charged with attempted capital murder after attempting to shoot at police during a standoff on Monday.

Bond was set at $1 million for Casey Pulliam who was arrested following a standoff on the 500 block of West Main Street in Kirbyville.

Pulliam attempted to fire a shotgun at officers once they entered the home but the gun misfired. 

The standoff began around 2:30p.m Monday according to Chief Brister. A father and son were inside the home at the time of the standoff. The son, Casey Pulliam, was the person arrested for attempted capital murder, according to Chief Brister.
