Beaumont shooting victim returns fire after armed robbery early Monday

BEAUMONT - Beaumont Police are investigating after the victim of an early Monday morning shooting and robbery in Beaumont managed to shoot back at the suspect.

Police were responded to a call about a shooting in the 200 block of Rosine at about 12:20 a.m. Monday morning and discovered that two men were robbed at gunpoint by another man according to a release from the Beaumont Police Department.

The two men were standing outside a home when they were approached by the suspect who attempted to rob them the release said.

The suspect shot one of the men, who managed to shoot back at the suspect though police are unsure if the suspect was hit according to the release.

The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury and the investigation is ongoing according to police.
