Armed man robs Jack-in-the-Box drive-thru, flees on-foot, is arrested across the street

BEAUMONT - A Beaumont man who robbed the Jack-in-the-Box drive through window at gunpoint and fled on foot was arrested by police across the street from the crime scene early Wednesday morning.

On Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at about 1:04 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to 590 Washington (Jack in the Box) in reference to a robbery in progress.

While Officers were en-route to the call, dispatch advised that a white male wearing all black with a black mask robbed the restaurant drive through with a hand gun and fled the scene.

Upon arrival to the area, Officers located the suspect in the parking lot of 501 Washington.

The suspect is identified as Ronald Johnson, a 30 year old Beaumont man.

Johnson admitted to the aggravated robbery on scene and Officers recovered the weapon he used during the commission of the crime as well as the money that was stolen from the store.

Johnson was transported to the Jefferson County Jail.
