Argument over money leads to stabbing in Kountze

KOUNTZE - Two men argued Wednesday morning in Kountze until one pulled out a knife and stabbed the other.

The argument turned to violence around 7:30 a.m. near FM 418 and North Cherry Street in north Kountze.

Police say Larry Samuels, 68, stabbed another man as the two argued over money.

Samuels is at the Hardin County jail awaiting arraignment.

A jail employee said he expects Samuel’s arraignment to happen Thursday morning.
