Commissioners consider emergency funding for repairs at Ford Park

Jefferson County Commissioners Monday will consider approving almost $36,000 in emergency funding for Ford Park.

The money would come from the county's hotel occupancy tax fund and be used to pay for electrical work at the Ford Park ball fields. County officials say dozens of light fixtures are in need of repair, apparently from recent storms.

Ford Park currently has only about $25,000 in its budget to make those repairs and much more is needed.
