British Airways glitch causes airport headaches around the globe

Thousands of British Airway passengers are experience long lines and hours-long delays around the globe, after a computer glitch affected check-in systems Tuesday morning.

Some of the nation's busiest airports, including San Francisco International Airport and Atlanta's Heartsfield-Jackson are reporting long wait times. Airports around the world are also reporting problems.

In a brief statement, British Airways said it's Information Technology teams were working to fix the error.

Airline employees had to manually check-in passengers, which made travelers even more frustrated.

Travelers are being warned to prepare for delays or cancelations because of the issue.
