Since he became Beaumont Independent School District Superintendent, Dr. Timothy Chargois says he has held 10 meetings to talk to as many people as possible to get information about how to make the district what it needs to be.
About a dozen parents from several schools were invited to meet with Dr. Chargois Monday evening. There was a representation of Beaumont ISD parents with kids of all ages.
Dr. Chargois asked the parents what positive things they thought the district was doing, what were things the district needs to work on, and what parents could do to help their children's school.
Dr. Chargois says the parents like the district's website that helps them track their child's grades and progress. But, one of the suggestions parents had was that they wanted to see more grades put in the data base.
