Bed, breakfast and beyond at hidden SETX treasure

The Book Nook Inn is a hidden treasure in Southeast Texas. The property is nestled off Cooks Lake Road in Lumberton.

It's an older home that has been turned into a bed and breakfast where you can enjoy relaxation at its finest.

Innkeepers, David and Stacie Hearne, invite guests into their home where you can sit back, relax and just take it easy.

The home offers 13 rooms, including a farm house, the shabby chic "Lindsey Room", and an event room.

"We've had weddings here. We've had class reunions. We've had all these numerous events and so far it's been really well received," said David Hearne.

While here, guests can also catch a movie in the theater room.

"Many people love to enjoy the movie theater. It has surround sound. All seats vibrate when you're watching a good movie," said Stacie Hearne.

Popcorn and candy is offered to give you the ultimate movie night experience.

Outside, is the pool room. Take a dip in the sparkling water where vibrant colors match the hot Southeast Texas summer days.

On cooler nights, you can warm up in the hot tub. For the sportsman, you can cast your reels into the pond stocked with catfish, perch and bass.

The Book Nook Inn is ideal for out of town guests and locals just looking for a day away inside a charming, Victorian home where rejuvenation awaits you.
