Beaumont woman accused of hitting man with car, cutting woman with broken beer bottle

A Beaumont woman is behind bars, accused of running down a man with her car, hitting an SUV and slicing a woman's arm with a broken beer bottle.

Around 11:40 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a stabbing call in the 2600 block of Sabine Pass. When they got there, they found a female victim, 38, with cuts on her left arm. That woman also told them the suspect had hit her 41-year-old husband with her BMW, injuring his leg, and then rammed an SUV.

Officers identified the suspect as 39-year-old Virginia Baker, who was arrested when she returned to the scene. Police charged Baker with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
