The Beaumont I.S.D. is putting emphasis on investigations which was made known at Monday night's special board meeting.
Specifically, Superintendent Timothy Chargois spoke of allegations involving employee payroll issues.
Chargois addressed allegations that three employees had received pay for extra jobs during times when they were doing something entirely different, like working their normal district job hours or while away at a conference.
Chargois stated the district is conducting it's own investigation.
through an internal investigation, Chargois says two of the employees did not do anything wrong and were rightfully paid for overtime.
A third is still being investigated.
12news asked Board President Ambres if that's because there is indication that the allegations are true but she said no.
Ambres says a thorough investigation requires time and the district is not finished.
Ambres also told 12News there she was not aware of any investigation into payroll by state or federal agencies.
