A midday accident brought traffic along Interstate 10 to a crawl and sent one person to the hospital Thursday.
Beaumont police say a late model white Corolla was involved in an accident with a black Cadillac.
The accident happened in the inner westbound lane of Interstate 10 near the Washington Boulevard exit around 12:30 p.m. The driver of the Corolla lost control of the vehicle causing it to flip over.
Emergency crews had to reduce the westbound side of the Interstate to one lane while they investigated the crash.
No one in the Cadillac was injured. The driver of the Corolla was taken to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth with non life threatening injuries.
