LUMBERTON - After a tragic accident, a popular restaurant in Lumberton is up and running again. "Goings Barbeque" was closed after the accident killed the one of the owners.
For the first day of its reopening, its been nothing short of busy.
The business was forced to close it's doors after the two married owners, Gregorio and Maria Martinez were involved in a vehicle accident in Mexico on December 30th.
I'm happy, but sad for their family," said Lee Fitzwater, a Lumberton resident. I'm happy that they got back and opened up."
Gregorio sustained injuries and unfortunately, Maria did not survive. Their daughter Marea took over yesterdays reopening and It only took ten minutes to see the parking lot packed with cars.
