Jasper County couple arrested, charged with felony animal cruelty for starving dogs, one to death

A Jasper County couple has been charged with a state jail felony of cruelty to animals after they were accused of starving two dogs, one to death, at their home.

A Jasper County couple was arrested Saturday and charged after being accused of starving two dogs.

Joshua and Amber Cloudy have each been charged with a state jail felony of cruelty to animals after they were accused of starving a Terrier and a Boxer atr their County Road 114 home according to the Jasper County Sheriff's Deputy Glenn Blank.

The dogs were taken to a local vet where the Terrier died and the Boxer was later transferred to a Boxer rescue group Blank said.

The dogs were let out in the with only rain water to drink and now food Blank told 12News.

When the Boxer was examined at the vet it's body temperature was too low to register on the thermometer.

The two each posted a $15,000 bond and were released the same day they were arrested he said.
