PORT ARTHUR — A Port Arthur Police Detective early Friday morning said the identity of a man killed in an auto-pedestrian accident has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Detective Sadie Guedry told 12News the victim, a man, 51, was trying to cross the 3900 block of Memorial Blvd. just before 8 p.m. Thursday. He was struck by a passing vehicle. The man was taken to Christus Southeast Texas St. Mary Hospital, but doctors could not save his life.
Detective Guedry said the driver has not been charged. She said the incident remains under investigation.
