BEAUMONT, Texas — Lamar University athletics has set the date for the first Cardinals Athletics Fund Coaches Luncheon which will be held at the 5 Under Golf Center in Beaumont. Fans are invited to join new LU head football coach Pete Rossomando, men’s basketball head coach Alvin Brooks and women’s basketball head coach Aqua Franklin Tuesday, Jan. 24th.
The event will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will cost $12 (plus gratuity). Fans interested in attending should RSVP with LU Associate Athletics Director Derek Schramm, (409) 880-7168, or Cajun Guillory, (409) 678-8872.
The luncheons provide fans to meet with the coaches, get an in-depth look at the program and learn about upcoming programs. Coach Franklin is in her fourth season with the Cardinals, while Brooks is in the midst of his second with men’s basketball. Coach Rossomando just finished up his first early signing period with the Red and White and has turned his attention to National Signing Day and solidifying his staff.
